The Harvard Club of Santa Barbara (HCSB) is initiating a "Community Service Series", in which we organize volunteer opportunities for Harvard alumni. Our inaugural event is a "Fall Clean-Up" at the Carpinteria Children’s Project on Saturday, October 6, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 12 Noon. The Children’s Project assists low-income families with education and health needs. To learn more about this organization, please see their website: http://carpchildren.org/

During the clean-up, volunteers will assist the staff of the Children’s Project with light gardening and pre-school clean-up. Snacks will be provided. It would be helpful if you can bring some tools (if you have them).  We'll email a tool list to attendees shortly before the event.

The Children's Project is located at 5201 8th Street in downtown Carpinteria. On-site parking is available. Please say you are with the "Children’s Project Clean-Up".

Note: This will be the weekend of the Avocado Festival, so you could visit the festival after the clean-up.

Please sign up with your name and e-mail address on the list to the right (no need to first login with your Harvard Key). Thank-you!
