Come Explore the Beauty &
Diversity of the Arroyo Hondo Preserve
Please join us for a walk in Nature at Arroyo Hondo's 782 acre Preserve protected
by the Land Trust of Santa Barbara County. Docents will point out plants and animals
while participants explore the scenic trails and learn about the effects of and recovery
from the Alisal Fire which charred a large portion of the preserve a year ago. After the
two hour tour, you will enjoy a picnic lunch on site.
Participants should wear sturdy closed-toed shoes or boots, prepare with layered
clothing, and bring water, a hat and sunscreen as well as cameras and/or binoculars
if desired.
Visitors are welcome to stay and further explore property until 4pm.
